Your family sounds interesting and typical, as you say, of the culturally diverse fabric of Canadian life. My great uncle left London in the 1950s and headed for Canada. Had three daughters there and now they live across Canada. Meeting up at Christmas is a bit more complicated than it is for most people I know in Bortziriak. The flight from one side to the other takes hours and the time difference alone is what...(I'm just google-ing it!!) about 5 hours. Can you see the famous maple tree from your window? ha ha...
